Tour Description
Explore the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu on a comprehensive tour. Start in the colonial city of Chinchero, visiting its plaza and archaeological remains. Then, discover the sites of Maras, Moray and the Salineras. Enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba before continuing to the Ollantaytambo Fortress. Finally, travel by train to Aguas Calientes for a guided tour of Machu Picchu the next day. An experience that combines history, culture and impressive landscapes.
As the first place of visit on the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour we will have the colonial city of Chinchero, where we will visit a craft shop in the center of the city, the archaeological remains and the plaza for approximately 1.5 hours before heading towards our second archaeological area located in the town of Maras, Moray and then Salineras (salt mine) for approximately 2 hours.
Continuing with the tour we will go to Urubamba where you can enjoy an exquisite buffet lunch for approximately 30 minutes. After a short rest we will head towards the Ollantaytambo Fortress to discover its impressive Temple of the Sun. This tour will last approx. 1 hour.
Finally board the train to Aguas Calientes where you will spend the night and prepare for your next day's visit to Machu Picchu.

DAY 1: VIP Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

DAY 2: Visit Machu Picchu - Cusco
After breakfast, we head towards the citadel of Machu Picchu where we will have a guided tour of the different sectors for around 2 hours, then a brief time to enjoy the citadel before descending by bus to Aguas Calientes to board the return train to Ollantaytambo then to Cusco. Note: If you want to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, you must reserve at least three months in advance, due to limited availability. This activity is optional (US $70.00)
